Most of the big time producers right now like Dr. Dre, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams sample their music so I thought it is important to learn more about sampling and teach you guys about it.For those of you who don't know in music Sampling is the act of taking a portion, or sample, of a sound recording and reusing it as an instrument or a sound recording in a different song or piece.
Basically there are three types of samples, Vocals/Lyrics, instrument, and Multiple elements.
Vocals/Lyric samples is basically taking what someone else said in a song and saying it in your song or using it as a melody. This in my opinion is the easiest sample you can do.
Instrument samples are taking an instrument and reusing it as it is or you can change up the pattern and add effects to it. See my blog under week 3 for an example I did.
Multiple Elements samples is basically taking someone else's work and using it yourself. This includes multiple sounds.
